Southside USCT Awarded Crime Prevention Funding through CICF

The Southside United States Colored Troops (USCT) has been awarded crime prevention funding through the Central Indiana Community Foundation. This milestone represents the culmination of hard work, creativity, and dedication from youth participants between the ages of 18–25.

Over the course of the program, these young leaders developed valuable skills in content creation, editing, interviewing, and leadership accountability while working alongside our staff and community partners, including the Indianapolis Recorder, Studio Auteur, Circle City Broadcasting, and Mirror Indy.

The culminating event will highlight their achievements through original video vignettes that tell powerful stories about the Southside of Indianapolis—through the voices of those who live, learn, and lead in the community.
