CABARET (1972)

A female girlie club entertainer in Weimar Republic era Berlin romances two men while the Nazi Party rises to power around them.

This film is part of Zā's Celluloid Closet which will have four films (Cabaret, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Children's Hour, Rebel Without a Cause) introduced by Zā Cooley.

Zā will give cultural and historical context to the queerness hidden in old Hollywood films during the Hayes production code era, inspired by the book of the same name by Vito Russo.
