Calendar All Upcoming Events

So you’re a lover of film and you’ve already found us, the best local arthouse. But for a number of reasons, you might not have people to watch with you, or talk to about movies that you see. Disclaimer: we 100% support going to the movies alone and love solo watches in the theater. At the same time, we love to connect people with fellow movie lovers through our clubs and social events.

Some of our clubs are based around common themes or tastes, like our A/V club. Other clubs revolve around common interests, like Book to Film, which connects bibliophiles and cinephiles alike.

Know that none of our movie clubs require formal membership. There are no fees or barriers to entry. Anyone can attend, and any discussions or social events are optional. We just might ask you to RSVP for social events or special screenings.

Find the club that sounds the most interesting to you, or please, try them all!

The A/V Club

The A/V Club is our longest running movie club. Every Monday, our A/V club regulars gather to watch cult films & b-movies. Most of the time, these screenings are free and are hosted in our upstairs screening room.

Once a month, the A/V Club takes over one of our larger theaters. These in-theater specials are offered at $10, and hosted by Dylan Roahrig of The Walter Paisley Movie House, a top podcast for cult movie lovers.

Book to Film Club

Our Book to Film series is all about selecting movies that are based on great written works, celebrating the art of adaptation, and partnering with wonderful local bookstores. At least once a month, we select an older film or choose one of our new releases as our Book to Film screening. If you have the time, read along with us in the time leading up to the screening and come see how it translates to the big screen! You are welcome to come without reading, and still discuss with us afterwards. But it would be more fun if you did.

Global Cinephiles Club

Coming soon. Kan-Kan fans know that we are the best spot in town for screening international films and arthouse titles from around the world… Explore the world with fellow adventurous moviegoers.
