Show Your Film at the Kan-Kan
Since 2021, we’ve shown hundreds of films by local filmmakers and independent filmmakers. Want to show your film on the big screen? Start here!
First, prepare our screening proposal form, prioritizing the following: a range of tentative dates/times, potential audiences/expected attendance, plans for advertising, and budget/logistics. (We have rental models for keeping costs low for local filmmakers– please inquire.)
If you are a non-local but independent/self-distributed filmmaker: please provide us with a screener link, as well as an offer of financial terms (percentage/ticket split) up front with your proposal form.

- If the event sounds like a fit, we will reach out to you to schedule a screening and discuss the terms of the agreement.
- Upon acceptance, make sure to tell your audience (friends and family) to come see your film at your favorite local cinema! Deliver the film to us and we will handle the rest!
Alternative option: currently, you are able to rent out our upstairs screening room to show your own film! Rules apply (you must own the rights to your film). Reach out to sam.bowden@kankanindy.com to inquire.
Note: we are typically booked out in our theaters 2-4 months in advance.
