Is your favorite season awards season? Are you obsessed with the controversies, the snubs, the glitz and the glamor? Know what John Travolta accidentally called Idina Menzel during the 2014 show? (Adele Dazeem, of course). Come play trivia with us at the Kan-Kan!

For the two weeks leading up to our Hollywood’s Biggest Night celebration, Sam will be hosting awards trivia in the bar lounge. Pair it with seeing one of our films, whether those are the nominated short films or one of our other new releases. Or just come to play a bit of trivia, grab a slice and some drinks!

How does trivia work?
Trivia will be casual bar trivia this week like Hambone’s trivia style. Different rounds will have different components: simple Q&A, worksheets, and elimination rounds. Will be approximately 6 rounds! (Typically Sam hosts Jeopardy-style trivia in the theater before films every Tuesday.)

Is there a theme?
Not always, but this week YES– about movie awards since we’re going to host a watch party for Hollywood’s biggest night in a couple weeks!

Is it only movie trivia?
No! While the questions are mostly about film, there’s a little something for everyone. Our trivia often touches on other media like TV, video games, and literature, as well as history, geography, science and pop culture.

What are the prizes?
Prizes vary by week. Expect Kan-Kan merch, free popcorn, free drink. The grand prize will be free movie tickets as always. Past special prizes have included film books, DVDs, memorabilia, trinkets, etc.
