FAQ/About Trivia

When is trivia? How long does it take?
Trivia starts at the scheduled showtime. It usually lasts about 10-15 minutes, followed by prizes and a few minutes of trailers. All in all, it’s shorter than the trailers at the multiplex.

How does trivia work?
It is a quick, Jeopardy-style trivia game with themed rounds and questions of varying difficulty. Hosted by our staff member Sam, who writes all original questions!

Is there a theme?
Usually, yes! It’s always loosely related to the movie.

Is it only movie trivia?
No! While the questions are mostly about film, there’s a little something for everyone. Our trivia often touches on other media like TV, video games, and literature, as well as history, geography, science and pop culture.

What are the prizes?
Prizes vary by week. Expect Kan-Kan merch. The grand prize is always a free movie ticket. Past special prizes have included film books, DVDs, trinkets, and more.

How do I win?
The prizes are decided by a random raffle. You can win something even if you only get one question right!

Does it cost to play?
No! The film is $10, trivia is free!

Do I have to play trivia to watch the movie?
No. But why not learn a thing or two?
