How long does it take?\nTrivia starts at the scheduled showtime. It usually lasts about 10-15 minutes\, followed by prizes and a few minutes of trailers. All in all\, it’s shorter than the trailers at the multiplex. \nHow does trivia work?\nIt is a quick\, Jeopardy-style trivia game with themed rounds and questions of varying difficulty. Hosted by our staff member Sam\, who writes all original questions! \nIs there a theme?\nUsually\, yes! It’s always loosely related to the movie. \nIs it only movie trivia?\nNo! While the questions are mostly about film\, there’s a little something for everyone. Our trivia often touches on other media like TV\, video games\, and literature\, as well as history\, geography\, science and pop culture. \nWhat are the prizes?\nPrizes vary by week. Expect Kan-Kan merch. The grand prize is always a free movie ticket. Past special prizes have included film books\, DVDs\, trinkets\, and more. \nHow do I win?\nThe prizes are decided by a random raffle. You can win something even if you only get one question right! \nDoes it cost to play?\nNo! The film is $10\, trivia is free! \nDo I have to play trivia to watch the movie?\nNo. But why not learn a thing or two?

DESCRIPTION:SHORT FILM SHOWCASE\nLocal filmmakers\, creatives\, aspiring artists: We’re excited to put on another short film showcase for the First Friday in May (which happens to be May 1st)! Submit or inquire by emailing sam.bowden@kankanindy.com. \nFriday\, May 1st\, 6-10 pm\nUpstairs Screening Room\nFilms will be shown on a recurring loop– stop by anytime! \nTheme: MUSIC VIDEOS\nHave a passion for music? Were you obsessed with watching MTV? Here’s your chance to create an unforgettable video that will kill the radio star.\n  \nSubmission Guidelines\nMust be a short film\, only submissions under 10 minutes will be considered. Priority will be given to shorts 3 minutes or under\, as spots are limited in our showcase.  \nMust prominently feature or involve music. Doesn’t have to be original music\, but the film must be your own\, original work (Don’t submit Telephone by Lady Gaga ft. Beyonce– we already know it’s the best of all time). Feel free to add music to footage or a short film you have already shot. \nSubmission Deadline: April 20th\, 11:59 p.m.\nFilmmakers of all experience levels are encouraged to submit. Selections will be curated by a small team at Kan-Kan\, with consideration for platforming a variety of different skill levels\, genres\, and styles.
