Syrah Wine Dinner

Somm Says Syrah!

We’re very happy to announce our upcoming wine dinner.

Join us on Wednesday, June 29th at 6:30 for a four-course dinner showcasing that most wonderful, diverse, and delicious of grapes: syrah. With food created by Abbi Merriss, we will feature four very different syrah based wines.

Campuget 1753 Syrah/Vermentino Rose 2021, from Costieres de Nimes in Southern France- A light, refreshing rose with notes of grapefruit.

Owen Roe ‘Ex Umbris’ Syrah 2019,  from Columbia Valley, Washington. – A medium bodied wine with juicy black and blue fruit, and smoky, black pepper notes. Scoring 92-(James Suckling) and 91-(Jeb Dunnuck) points!

John Duval ‘Entity’ Shiraz 2020, from Barossa Valley, Australia. – An absolutely phenomenal giant of a wine. Black plums, dark chocolate, oak, and savory herbs definitely call for grilled, hearty food. Scoring 94-(Wine Spectator) and 95- (Stuart Knox) points!

Guigal ‘Brune et Blonde’ Cote-Rotie 2016, from the northern Rhone Valley in France. – This is a deservedly famous wine, from one of the oldest and most respected producers in the Rhone Valley. Plums, with black and red berries meld with violets, herbs, oak and chocolate to create a well balanced wine with a long finish. Scoring 94- (James Suckling) and 91- (Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck) points!

Tax and 25% gratuity to be collected upon the completion of the event.
